Elder Scrolls Skyrim

“I used to make cocktails, but then I took an arrow to the knee”

What comes first, the drink or the pun? In this case, the name certainly came first. This was created as part of our Guardian Games of the Year 2011 recipes, this has been on the menu ever since and seen almost as many re-releases as Skyrim itself, here’s our current recipe for Elderflower Scrolls Skyyrum.

Ingredients

  • 30ml Skyy vanilla vodka
  • 25ml Spiced rum (Sailor Jerry)
  • Orange peel
  • 175ml Sparkling elderflower presse
  • Sugar
  • Saucer
  • Ice
  • High-ball Glass

Method

First, create a sugared rim by rubbing the lime wedge around the lip of your high ball glass, dip this into a saucer with 5ml of the vanilla vodka, and then into a plate of sugar. Now put ice into the glass and pour in the remaining vanilla vodka & 175ml of the presse down the side (the inside, of course). Add a measure of spiced rum on top of that, and garnish with an orange peel/dragon’s tongue.

The Game

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main instalment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide on November 11, 2011.

The game’s main story revolves around the player’s character, the Dragonborn, on their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The game is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.
